• I love this book! I devoured it the first day I had it. I've been gardening for years but usually only have moderate success. I've already learned practical ideas to apply for next season. I just love how the author brings us back to what is important. Soil, water & light gives us life!
• A thoughtfully written book that leaves you eager start planting a garden, even if it in just one pot. Wonderful advice and lovely pictures to whet your appetite for a planting adventure.
• I checked this book out against my better judgement & based on the 5 star reviews. I kinda knew this was going to be bad but I still want it to give it a chance. Here is what I learned. If you need a book with useful information, never pick up one that includes a description that states "created for her well-known clientele...celebrities, rock stars, and more." Returned it within minutes of checking it out online. "Artsy", banal photos of farmers markets, a single snow pea, gauzy flower shots, etc, had me shaking my head. Flipped through most of it to see if there was going to be any useful information and even then I didn't bother to get to the end. Seriously, don't bother, this is really not good.
• First of all this is a gorgeous book as a piece of art. It such a conversation starter in the house. The two authors seem to love gardening and food. It really tells you how you can have your own garden even if you dont have tons of space as well as if you have an acre. Some of her celebrity clients gush about her. Katy Perry and Maya Rudolph. I'm still pouring through the material and loving that spring is here to try it out. The Photos alone make this an incredibly inspiring book, the photographer ( Yoshihiro Makino) is magical. Even the dirt looks delicious. I'm super happy with my book.
